Story Accepted for Flashing Swords Press Anthology

I’ve been chomping at the bit to announce this since around New Year’s, but revisions needed to be made, contracts needed to be reviewed and signed, and certain promotional elements needed to fall in place. But that’s all done now.

I am extremely pleased to say that Flashing Swords Press has accepted “What Heroes Leave Behind” for their forthcoming anthology, Return of the Sword. This is quite an honor because, as I’ve said before on this blog, the folks at Flashing Swords have a good thing going.

This acceptance puts me in good company. A classic tale by renowned pulp author and historian Harold Lamb will be included in the anthology. Don’t they say, in the literary world, that you haven’t made it until your name is printed in a table of contents with a famous dead guy? There’s another well-known author–this one still very alive and kicking–who will be announced in the near future. There are also tales by Black Gate regular James Enge; Servant of the Manthycore author Michael Ehart; and the prolific Angeline Hawkes.

But what’s best is that I’ll be sharing a table of contents with people I’ve had the good fortune to interact with, and whose fiction I’ve had the pleasure of reading–S.C. Bryce, Bruce Durham, Steve Goble, Christopher Heath, Nathan Meyer, David Pitchford, and Bill Ward, as well as Mr. Ehart and Mr. Enge, to name more than a few.

I’ll post more on this as information becomes available.
